Crane was still employed as a janitor when he was unexpectedly recruited by Tigress, who mistook him for ane of four kung fu masters she had been dispatched to discover by an ill Shifu due to Shifu'southward scroll becoming mixed up with another one written by Po. "The Art of Balance"

They eventually caught Boss Wolf outside Lord Shen'southward palace, but were ambushed by his army and were captured. In the centre of declaring "Yous may chain my body, simply y'all volition never chain my--", a wolf shackled Crane's neck, muffling the balance of his declaration: "warrior spirit."

Crane and the others watched in fright as Po and Tigress sparred when the panda refused to remain behind. Although she was shocked at the sight of his moves, she realized how much he loved her. She praised him for saving her, and admitted that he looked good when it came to his wellness.
